My mom doesn't like me because I am nerdy and go to nerd events. She calls me weird. What do I do?

I go to larping events and D&D ans hang out with nerdy people, but then there is also the other part of me that hangs out downtown longboards and work

And my kom is fine with me then but then i go to a larp event once or twice a month and she is like, why do you do that your weird the people there are weird. It really bothers me too and i dont know what to do between her and myself. I still want to be her son but she doesn't like me when i do these...

or:Honestly, tell her how you feel. Be honest and say this is what you like to do. It's no crime being a nerd or a geek. I myself am one and I love it! As long as you have accepted yourself no one else matters not even your mum. And if she still is being negative about it simply tell her to go **** her self. At the end of the day, you are who you are. Be proud of that. If she loves you one day she'll accept it even if it's years from now.
