As a child I saw a movie but can´t gather many details. I think it was about the medieval times, people were dying of plague (I guess?) and there was a river of candles. The lentgh of a candle represented a life-span. The main character, in order to save his lover´s life, exchanged his love´s candle for a longer one and unwillingly ended a close child´s life. I know it´s not much, but does anyone have any idea?
