Hey,
I've never used a site like this but it seems no one can help me and I'd really like some advice. c:
So, when I was 6 or 7, believe it or not (I'm a teenager now), I met a friend through a forum for a kids game. We were best friends for years. I took a break from the site for a pretty long time, and I came back about 3 years ago. I joined a club on the forum for a book series that I was obsessed with at the time, and it turned out my old friend was still on the site and was part of the same club I had joined. We became best friends once again and I met amazing people through the club and it was the best experience of my entire life. A bit over a year ago, like the girl I met when I was little, I made two more very close friends on the site. The four of us have been talking since then, over the Internet, and they mean the world to me--I've never had friends in real life but I've always been able to talk to them. I really, really want to meet them in real life. I know the dangers of meeting people I only know over the Internet--I take it a lot more seriously than other kids my age, as I have anxiety problems and am pretty terrified of that kind of thing. But, I talked to them over the phone, and there are just too many clues that point to the fact that they are NOT fifty year old perverts. I've done research. xD
The problem isn't the fact that we live in different states--we all live pretty far away from each other, but we're figuring it out. It isn't the age difference, either--I'm the same age as the girl I met when I was little, but one is two years older than me and the other is four. My parents know this and don't care.
My parents (specifically my father) and my grandparents don't want me meeting people I only know over the Internet. I need help on convincing them that it's safe and I'll be fine, cause they're not sure--one of them is also a boy, and I'm a girl, and that doesn't help their anxiety. My friend also need this advice, cause their parents aren't so sure, either.
I know I'll have to take my parents with me, obviously, but that still doesn't convince them. Please help, if you've met Internet friends who live far away irl, or if you just know what to do in this situation :3
Thanks!

or:Since they are meeting the requirements of your age. all the same age why not doesn't matter the distance but you could still Skype them any time. but if they older than you I would say yeah probably you would better step aside even if you have really deep friendship with them.
