Negative test.. Can I still be pregnant?

I've had regular periods my whole life. They have been 31 days sometimes 32. But never late. I keep track on my calendar and they are always right on time. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant. My last period was December 21st 2012. My ovulation week was suppose to be January 2nd-the 6th. We made sure to baby make during that time.
Well today is the 29th. I was suppose to start on January 21st,1 weeks and 1 day ago. On the 22nd (one day late) I took a HPT and it was negative. The 23rd (second day late) took another and it was negative too! So I decided to wait and see maybe I'm taking them too early. The 26th comes (5 days late) and it was negative again! I'm over these test. But I still haven't gotten my period!
I have been having random stomach pains here and there. And I also get period cramps very often! Usually when I get period cramps, I start that day or the next. But NOTHING!! Is there hope that I'm pregnant? Or are those test telling the truth. I've googled so much and I'm just going crazy now haha. HELP!!

or:The tests look for a hormone secreted by the placenta. No hormone = no placenta and no placenta = no baby. However, the level of the hormone starts small so, after a few days, a false negative test is quite likely. Two weeks after conception, the tests are very accurate. I'd wait a week and take another test.
