Hi, so I'm looking for a new desktop I don't want nothing fancy but I need something fancy I got some friends that plays game but my old computer can't keep up. So I'm looking for a new one, and I dont know much of how the graphics quality and the disk hardware, Nvidia works or what they do, and im looking to play some games like arma 3, dayz, games like that, and I wanted to know what I need to look for in a desktop for it. And maybe learn more about how desktop works.

or:Hello,Here is my system build, and contrary to what the other person said, you do not need an i7 to game with or 16GB of memory. I run 32GB because I need it for video editing, and other things. As for gaming 8GB is more then enough for today's games, and 16GB is not bad to have but not really needed.My Build,CPU: A10-7850K Quad 3.7GHz AMD FM2+ (Not the best for gaming, but it works with GTA5, Fallout 4, and a lot of the newer games)Motherboard: MSI A88XM GamingMemory: 32GB DDR3 1600 CL8OS Drive: 240GB Kingston HyperX PCI-E 8x SSDSlave Drive: 3TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache Toshiba SATACPU Cooling: Zalman LQ-320 Liquid CoolerPower: 680W ATX Power SupplyOS: Windows 10 64Bit ProThis is my build, and no you do not need an SSD to make it possible to game, but its nice to have for your operating system, system driver, and other things that have to do with your systems hardware & such. Always nice to have a 2nd hard drive as I have which you can get at WalMart or another store for around about $130 & I just ripped mine out of the external casing & used it as an internal. Faster with USB 3.0, I just preferred to use as internal.If you want a decent build that wont break the bank I would suggest something like the following which you can google the parts for.Motherboard: ASRock 990FX Extreme9Processor: AMD FX-9590Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 270XThe board runs for around $170, the Processor for about $230, and the video card I have seen as low as $180. These are the main 3 parts you want to be sure are able to handle the games you want to run. Not all games need this much power, so just make sure you know what the requirements are of each game, and that your motherboard, cpu, and card can handle them. These three parts should be able to handle most of your gaming needs now days. Add yourself one stick of DDR3 1600 of 8GB for around $70+ depending what you go with. Ask the motherboard company if the memory you want to use is compatible with the board before you buy it as most sites provide a list of all memory chips that they have tested. I would suggest that you seek something that runs with no more then 8-9 Latency so you have faster access times on your memory which make for better gaming & processing times.As for the games you have listed Arma 3 is the only one there that might need this hardware I have suggested.
