Okay, So how will I know he actually cares about me in a relationship type way ?

Alright, so I met this guy name franklin last summer and like we were talking and he said that he was in an 8 month relationship but him and that girl are no longer together we had the same problem with our ex's so we got really into the conversation, he was also in a relationship with another chick and then we started getting close and he said he like me better then his girlfriend but he said that he couldn't just break up with her for no reason so when there was a reason they went their separate ways and we went out, we had so much in common same sense of humor and we're both Cancers ! So then a month later he told me he cant continue the relationship with me because he still feels for his ex and he doesn't want to hurt me if he goes back to his ex, so I acted like I didn't care but In the inside I was dying so months went by we didn't speak like that and I went back to my ex, the one that left me for no reason, and eventually things went great but he punched me in my eye so I had to break up with him.. so I told franklin that I feel for him since he had left and he said that he kept a picture of me in his ps3 and since I was going out with my ex, the one that punched me in my eye, doesn't want me talking to franklin, the one I like a lot. Franklin said that he was very upset through those times because he wanted to just talk to me.. But he has a Girlfriend now.. He said the things I told him puts his heart in the gutter, so he asked what I wanted to do...basically what I want from him... so we decided to be friends with benefits, I developed more and more feelings for him so I had to tell him we had to stop because I was really falling for this kid, but he cant just leave his gf he said, hes been with his gf for 7 months now and I cant stop thinking about him... What should I do? Or what should be done.. ?

or:If I was you, I would talk to this guy you like. You need to ask him, if he has any feeling for you. If he does like you and want a relationship with you then he has to break the relationship off with the girl he is dating now. If he still has feeling toward the girl he is seeing, then I would respect his feeling and look for somebody else. Remember that if you start a relationship with this guy, How do you know he will not look at other women when he is dating you? If he can not make up his mind, maybe you should find someone else. You do not need your heart broken,if the relationship does not work out. A guy should know what he wants in a relationship.
