I've got a 2004 Vz sedan holden commodore and it's low so it scraps frequently, about a month ago it scraped pretty bad as I was slowly going over a bump I could feel it all under my drivers seat side of the car and it made the "Check PowerTrain" warning light come on but it went away about 5 minutes later while driving, but tonight I drove over a large concrete rock just abit smaller then a soccer ball I'd say doing about 80km/h and it almost immediately came up the check power train light but I got out and checked underneath the car and could not find any visual bad damage just a few scrap marks on the exhaust S pipes and the car drove fine all the way home which is about 20 minutes with no loss of power but the warning light stayed on the whole way home even when i turned the car off and on it was still there so just wondering would the force of the rock have tricked the sensors going off or something ? Cause I thought the check powertrain warning was for when the car is overheating and will it most probably just be alright if I give it a rest over night ?
