Problem - I need a reason to live?

but please, don’t give me any of that "think about all the people who cares about you" or “everyone has a purpose” bull shit. I am neither religious nor suicidal, at least not anymore.
I’m just tired of feeling trapped in a pointless universe where we, the human race, only live to satisfy our ego. (Or super ego if you want to go all psycho- analytical on me)

But I suppose it is better than the alternative: A divine dictatorship which applies fear in order to keep it’s (his, hers or whatever) followers from searching for it and, assuming the search is successful, proving the existence of the divine entity in question.

I could go on, but this is beside the point, the point being: I need a reason to live, a life goal if you will; something that can drive me forward and give me strength or my life will be meaningless.

If anyone of you have any suggestions I would be most obliged.

or:A reason to live is because it's life. Something to drive you forward would be your family or making a family as in finding love. After you accomplish that you'll laugh off or regret your thoughts about this. This universe is not pointless. Everyone goes through hard ships and times. Just put yourself out there, make moves, do crazy things(but not too crazy). I mean you have to have hobbies. Find things you like, things you enjoy. Go do things, go have fun. I have no idea how old you are but you sound smart so go to coledge and get a nice job and make a family. There's your life goal and thing to drive you forward. Hope you do well and good luck.

If you don't want life to be pointless, stop whatever pointless things you are doing and go on a quest to realize the Truth about life.
