Problem - Why won't my parents let me have a guinea pig?

or:You can take this as an opportunity to practice being less of a thirteen-year-old having a tantrum (if you come across that way), and more of a clever young lady, who can demonstrate amazing powers of persuasion. You've presented an excellent position here. Now convey that to your parents, possibly with negotiation.
