So, me and my boyfriend have been dating for a little over two years now. I'm sixteen almost seventeen now. So, my boyfriend thought it would be a good idea to get me a promise ring for Christmas. He didn't spend too much money on it, because it's only a promise ring. Now, my dad is severely mad because he thinks it means more like an engagement ring than just a promise ring. He thinks I'm too "young" to have one. Now, if I'm correct doesn't a promise ring just mean we are in a committed relationship? What are your thoughts about it? Do you think it's wrong to have one at my age?

However I agree that you might be a bit young because chances are you may not still be together, not many people can start dating at 15 and get married around 25 or when you decide to.
