I have been on ortho tri cyclen for a few months, this month I didnt get my period until three sugar pills in. By the time I went back on the regular pill it was still pretty heavy. I have been spotting for the last few days. Should I go off, let the period finish then go back on? Im going on a trip in a few days and I really hope im not going to spot the whole trip.

or:I think you should speak to your doctor, you might need a different pill with a different hormone combination (i.e. more estrogen). But in the meantime, just keep taking it as prescribed, if you go off it you might lose your protection.
