Refrigerator ticking?

Refrigerator runs for about 3 minutes than starts ticking constant for the rest of time till it shuts off. Also it runs for 15 minutes and is off for

Refrigerator runs for about 3 minutes than starts ticking constant for the rest of time till it shuts off. Also it runs for 15 minutes and is off for 20. Is that normal? I bought it 3 years ago it had been sitting for about 6 months. Lady said it never ticked when she used it. It is a GE model TBX14SAZBRWH. Ticking notice comes from freezer portion upper part of frigerator.

or:its very possible that its going out for good the things that you mention are the same kind of noises and actions that a refrigerator does when it finally comes to rest sense it sat for 6 months that gives time at a stand still saying it was sitting there doing nothing it sounds like it just giving up with no knowledge to come back it just sounds like its on its last leg or you could ask someone who specializes in that area to come look at it and give you a run down of what it would cost to fix it or buy another
