Should I ask him if he's alright?

I've been talking to this guy on ep for about a while now. We both live in the Los Angeles area and had a lot of things in common. He was very funny too and we are both creole.

Anyways I've gotten to know him a lot over the past month and he's helped me a lot by giving me good advice and what not. I think of us as "close" online friends because I told him how I had feelings for him but there's an age gap so I said I understood if he didn't want to talk to me anymore after I told my feelings. I'm 15 and he's i think 22. I just wanted to get the feelings out of the way. I knew nothing was going to happen.

He said he totally understood which was a relief and we kept on talking. This made me feel good cause I thought I would've scared him away. He didn't care though which was good. We stayed friends

All of a sudden he didn't answer my message though after telling me he met his uncle again after 13 years of not seeing him. After awhile this kinda hurt because we had so many deep,hilarious, and honest conversations that I've never had with anyone else. It was special.

Then on the app we were on, he started writing about how he wish he had someone to just let all of his his dark secrets spill out to without being judged and how he's lonely and wants love but it's complicated. He said its just himself with no one else.

Awhile later while he was online I responded to what he wrote saying, "hey, you've helped me a lot and I'm here if you ever need me." I know he saw it because he always looks at my messages and usually writes back happier than ever... But he didn't.

I just want to know what's going on. i hope he's okay and i hope it doesn't have to with something I said. What should I do? He's been through a lot. I know there's a big age difference okay? I know, I can get in serious trouble for talking to someone that much older and it's not appropriate but.. Can we forget about that for a second? I really care about him like a best friend. Try to picture it from my perspective.

or:you know i would try to message him when you can explain it the best you can and tell him about the friendship being important to you and how you see it being give him a chance to reply and go from there

or:Okay just ask him if he's alright but don't bug him because it will make him more stressed if there's anything wrong.
