I just had surgery and my mum had surgery when she was younger and she keeps saying "Look at how much you can do!", "I couldn't do that" and I'm crying because I won't be able to go trick-or-treating in my costume that I worked so hard to complete and she says "Look at the bright side." and she's also saying things like I'm ungrateful. And my brother, who was in his twenties, died in 2014.

or:It is always important to be positive. There are people that are overly and somewhat annoyingly positive. It's ok to be sad or angry and you should address these feelings. It's also equally important to pick your self up from your anger and depression. If you can't wear it this year then wear it next year. If you can't go trick or treating this year watch some fun Halloween movies. Your mother sounds positive enough that if you ask she may buy some candy for you. Make it a mommy daughter date. Activities themselves are not actually fun, what makes them fun is the people you're around and your mood you set.If you don't like horror movies then here is a list of hocky, but fun Halloween movies:Halloweentown 1, 2, and Halloweentown highHocus PocusCasperNightmare before christmasAdams familyThe little vampireyoung Frankenstein by mel brooks
