Should I forget about it?

Last night, my best friend & I went out to our favourite restaurant to celebrate my birthday. We had a great time. She made mention that the restaurant has a Ladies Night the 1st Tuesday of every month. She then went on to say that apparently it's a lot of fun. I then said.."Let's do it". To that, my friend said she likely couldn't because of how late she gets home on some days. I reminded her that there are times when her schedule has her finishing work at 2pm. "That's true" she said. A few seconds later, I repeated.."Let's do it" (referring to the Tuesday evenings). My friend didn't say anything in response which I found rather odd.
This left me with a weird feeling. Should I just forget about it?

or:There are actually plenty of reasons why your friends are being reluctant. Maybe she is tired after school, perhaps she has plans too or maybe she is already bored with you. Those are the possible reasons. Sometimes, people need space too and I would suggest you ask her why and respect her decision. If she really wanted to go then she will go, but if she is your best friend then she will make up for it. But if she really cant then she has to say why.
