or:I've worked in both sectors (in the same field) and my experiences were initially very different. However, massive cuts in public spending has brought the public sector into line with business. The big difference for me is the scale of institutions. When I worked for a company, we had about 20 employees. Where I work now, in the public sector, we have sixty or seventy thousand people bobbing around, fifteen thousand of which are staff.The only commonality I can think of is in working conditions, which were similar.
