Skyrim: Can't reply to Clavicus Vile after retrieving axe?

The title says it all; I retrieved the Rueful Axe, I have Barbas with me, but, for some reason, I cant reply. Clicking on the reply or pressing E wont

The title says it all; I retrieved the Rueful Axe, I have Barbas with me, but, for some reason, I can't reply. Clicking on the reply or pressing E won't work. I have mods installed, but not any that mess with the speech choices or the game in general. This is the second time trying the quest, as I have already tried it a year ago (without mods), and it didn't work then either. Please help if possible, thanks!
