1.Is Greek a useful language to learn?
2.Would Greek be more useful than Latin since it's not a dead language and other foreign languages use some of their words?(Sorry for being a derp... )
3.I'm bilingual in both Indonesian and English since I lived here in America since I was half a year old.Since I'm fluent and young (I'm guessing early teens count as "young"),would it be sensible to learn a bunch of languages while I'm young?I know for sure that learning a foreign language while your brain's still growing helps.
4.That reminds me;is being an Indonesian speaker useful?I mean,Indo's the 4th most populous country, but only people that speak Bahasa are the ones that are from Indo.Maybe if there were more Indonesian immigrants in the US more people would start speaking Indonesian?X3

I would ask 2 or 3 (or more) questions, but I don't wanna seem desperate and dumb.XD But thank you SO VERY MUCH if you did answer all of them.*ready to give virtual cookie*

or:Personally I would advise you to study Latin as it will not only improve ones understanding & practice of English (although strictly a germanic language) but of course the Romance languages namely Italian, Spanish ( & the Mexican dialect) Portuguese, French. So Latin is not really dead, but lives on as a root.So while Latin may not be of immediate apparent benifit, it will be a sound foundation for the long term.

or:Oooo all good questions! Lets see...1-yes, Greek is useful. Any language is useful because it allows you to communicate with so many more people.2- Personally, I think that Latin is more useful because it is the root of the Romance languages, as well those that use the Latin alphabet (you know, abcde...). On an interesting side note, these are called \"Romance\" languages because the \"Rom\" comes from \"Rome\"... Not because they are pretty or romantic, as a surprising number of people believe.3- Learning many languages is beneficial no matter what age you are. But don't feel like you need to cram all of them in before you are twenty! Many of the language learning skills that are so remarkable in children begin to diminish after around eight or nine years of age, when most of our vocabulary and sentence structure is already set. Yes, it will be a bit easier for you to be fluent in another language than the average adult, but also remember that each language you learn is easier than the last.4- I'm actually not sure how \"useful\" being a fluent Indonesian speaker is... But like I said, knowing any language is a valuable tool. And I'm sure you can find some cool clubs or something with others that speak the same language. If you want to learn Greek, I say go for it. It is a beautiful language that can open your world even more. Wow I rambled a TON... sorry... I just really love languages :) best of luck
