Okay, this is embarrassing.
I'm in my mid 20s, white, and female. I've always thought I'm one of those lucky people with hardly any body odor. Seriously, during camping trips or festivals, I can go a week without a shower or deodorant and don't smell at all. But generally I shower daily and use deodorant anyway, because that's just what people do, I guess.
A few days ago, I suddenly noticed a really strong odor from my arm pits and I can't do anything about it.
I've even tried my boyfriend's amazing antiperspirant (it really is amazing, without it he'd smell like 10 construction workers after a 12 shift). Doesn't work. Also tried many other deodorants and antiperspirants without success. I've even tried exfoliating my pits in case there was any bacteria build-up or something. After a shower and applying deodorant and antitranspirant, the smell is back within 30 minutes.
This has never happened before and I don't know what caused it. There were no recent changes in my life. I eat healthy, I drink a lot of water, I didn't eat anything with garlic or onions recently, didn't take any medication, it's not even particularly hot outside, and it's only my arm pits.
Any ideas what could've caused it and what I can do about it?
