Me and my boyfriend got a bearded dragon( Castro) almost a year ago, he was just the sweetest thing. We set up a routine that every day before feeding we would take him out and spend time with him, letting him sit on our shoulder, and hand feeding him his veggies. Then throughout the day take him out of the cage to pet him. He never had a problem with it and seemed to enjoy our company. Then about a week ago my boyfriend moved away for college and I gave Castro a day or so to adjust to everything but every time I try to touch him he hisses, puffs up his neck, and attempts to strike me:( whats wrong with my once loveable lizard:(?

or:Sounds like he is protesting because your boyfriend is gone he basically had a routine now he doesn't it might take some work getting back to the basics.
