Syncing iphone with itunes?

I have an iBook G4 with OS X 10.5.8 Leopard 30 GB Hard Drive ! GHZ PowerPC G4 processor 512MB DDR RAM & when I try to sync my iphone 4s with itunes it

512MB DDR RAM
& when I try to sync my iphone 4s with itunes it says cannot be done cause it requries itunes 11.1 or later? do i need to upgrade to be able to get lastest version & how much does it cost? Thanks!

or:it is free. when you open itunes it will ask u to update it. May take a few times for the update to appear, It will probably be on the website.
