To those of you who have a male pitbull and got him fixed. Did he act really mopey for a long time?

Before surgery he would suck it down. He eats but very little where he use to eat a lot. He's going potty outside fine. He had his surgery last Wednesday on the 28th. I'm just scared he's going to get dehydrated because he's showing no interest in water at all except for the ice cubes
