For nearly 15 years, my parents have worked and worked hard at Eastern Illinois University to help ensure that my sisters and myself have a future. Now EIU has come into some serious financial troubles an as a result, have begun laying off employees. Two of those employees were my parents. My mother, who worked in test grading, and my father, who worked as a pipefitter around EIU's steam plant. They will lose the house as a result and have accepted this. They have come to realize that they may need to move out of state in order to find work. I want to help my parents out any way I can because they were always there for me and if they do have to move, they will be able have some help. My question is, is my parent's situation an appropriate one to start a GoFundMe account in order to help them relocate. I'm asking this beforehand because I am aware that there are more dire situations that could benefit from a fundraiser, but I don't want to see my parents suffer. Any input would be greatly appreciated
