We all humans are the same, 1 soul and 1 life. Then why do we have different gods?

or:GOD is one, called by many names. People have identified themselves with different forms and names, some are claiming their form of GOD is superior and will only protect those who follow that particular form..however we are ruled by our own desires and good or bad only comes through our own actions.
or:We are not exactly the same. We like different things and don't like others. With Gods, different people choose to believe in something and believe in what they want. People believe there are many different Gods with different personalities and power. Different people choose to worship different ones.
or:We human beings are like different waves that come from the same ocean and go back to the same ocean. Unfortunately we have different Gods because we are born in different religions. We have created religion and we have got imprisoned in ignorance, which is of our own making. But religion helps us to believe in God, that is good. All religions are good, but we must go beyond religion, we must go in quest of spirituality, then we will realize that we are all the Divine Spirit. We appear to be different just like the different ornaments in a gold jewelry shop. There may be bracelets, chains, anklets, rings but they are all made up of gold. We will realize one day that we are all effects, the cause is God. There is only one God, we have created so many Gods because we don't realize God. We don't know the true meaning of God, therefore there are so many religions and so many Gods.
or:It is because of our ignorance. The moment we realize we are not separate Souls but the Soul in you and me is a common Soul, it is the supreme Soul, then we will not have different Gods. The God that we believe in is the Soul; the Soul in me is God, the Soul in you is God and it is not different, it is the same God. Just like the air in a red balloon and blue balloon is the same as the air that is everywhere. When you burst the red balloon and the blue balloon, the air from the balloons merges with the air everywhere, so also, when you die and I die, the Soul in you and the Soul in me becomes one with the supreme Soul. When we realize we are one supreme Soul, then we will believe in one supreme God and not differentiate my God from your God.
