We have 34 threats but once we searched them its not viruses. Do we have to buy Vista security 2011?

We have virus searcher and detects which files are infected but none of them are but once I go onto the internet it says, internet explorer alert your system is in danger. And we scanned it but 34 threats came but they are not viruses. So im just asking this question do we have to buy Vista Security 2011???

or:I have the 3 newest windows systems, Vista a desktop, 7 32-bit a laptop, and 7 64-bit a laptop. I have heard of windows defender, which is an annoying little program that you cannot get rid of, I've tried. The best advice is to get virus protection. My favorite is one called Kaspersky, I run it on all 3 of the computers mentioned, and knock on wood I haven't had trouble with it yet.
