I have a Gibson Everly guitar and I would like an acoustic pickup. I have seen many acoustic pickups and most seem to sit over the sound hole but since the Everly has a raised pickguard, I don't know it that would even fit. Is there a good quality acoustic pickup that would work with my guitar?

With steel strings you use inductive pickups beneath the strings and a tube type amplifier. For any other instrument you use a capacitive microphone either in the sound hole or built into the bridge, and a transistor amplifier.
