They build barracks a jillion stories tall, with window air conditioners, and then you see women in their 90s crawling on the air conditioners for unknown reasons. If someone feels prosperous he will enclose the balcony so he can have an extra room. They like tall statues, especially on top of tall buildings, and adventurers like to climb those statues to take pictures. The soviets left a lot of abandoned military posts and people like to sneak in and explore the rusting towers and silos and tanks. The soviets abandoned whole cities, and a few dozen people might still live in those cities.
