There are many reasons why one might choose to not eat meat and they are well known (causes suffering to animals, isn't healthy etc.) and the same can be used against consuming dairy products. But why do people choose not to eat eggs? The hen for example will lay unfertilized eggs on her own and said eggs will never grow up into adult chickens. They aren't forced to lay eggs like cows can be forced to give milk. And let's say those hens are raised at a homestead instead of a factory farm. Why would it be immoral then? I'm not saying that abstaining from eggs is wrong, I'm just curious to see why people do it

or:The trouble with moral arguments is a person is never going to change his mind because of somebody else's arguments. A dedicated vegetarian will die rather than eat something he perceives as being a meat product. Even if he is wrong.
