Hello, I'm a female sophomore in high school in the state of Ohio. In my city, there is a career center. Idk if you know what that is because I googled it and couldn't find anything. Our Career Center is basically another alternative to High School. You can choose to go here Junior and Senior year. So you take 4 classes ane then you study the Career you chose.

The one if I were to attend would be the DMT which is Diversified Medical Technologies. On the information given to me it says once completing this program I would be CPR AED and First Aid certified. I would also be a certified nursing assistant. In the program is a lot of ciriculum but what I would chose it for is pre-nursing. Like everyone no matter what learns everything but pre-nursing is just part of it. When I am older I want to become a Pedatric Nurse. I've done a ton of research but I'm not sure. you

CIRRICULUM:(( OFF WEBSITE FOR SCHOOL))
-CPR AED and First Aid certification
-State Tested Nursing Assistant Certification (Stna)
-electrocardiography
-osha/ blood-pathogen certification
-medical ethics and medical law
-sterilization techniques/ Infection control
-National Healthcare Foundation certificate
-Pre-nursing
-Surgical assisting
-Laboratory assisting
-Medical Terminology
-Pharmacology
-Medical Assisting
-Tech Prep

Should I take this route and go to my Career Center? I mean I'm learning everything the same, better teachers and I get a head start in what I'd be interested in. So my questions for you:
1) should I go?
2) what would colleges think? you If I show interest for a career already would it be good or does a "career center" sound bad because most people think its for kids who don't want to go to college when in fact I'd like to attend a university for a BSN.
3) LAST THING: courses. Junior & senior courses I figured out all except for language & science. I wouldn't be able to take a foreign language but the state would remove the requirement for me because of the career center. Would colleges not choose me because of this?
4) SCIENCE: On my regular school website I guess you need 3 sciences. But junior year you can take any science I guess? I thought everyone took Chemistry or Physics. So I would still probably take 4 science classes to get honors. At the Career Centers my options are:
-Anatomy and Physiology ( Recomended for nursing)
-Health Bio-Chemistry( Rec for nursing)
-Chemistry
-Physics
-Enviornmental Science
I think I should do Anatomy and Physiology and Health Bio-Chem because it says recomended or should I take the straight up chemistry classes? &&&& which should I take as a junior (1) and which as a senior(2)

THANK YOU& I KNOW ITS A LOT TO READ BUT ANY IMPUT AT ALL WOULD BE FABULOUS THANK YOU!!
(( I KNOW IM ONLY A SOPHOMORE BUT ADMISSIONS TO CAREER CENTER ARE IN FEB AND WE TOUR IN JANUARY I JUST WANT BACKROUND BEFORE I JUMP WITHOUT KNOWING))

I KNOW YOU CANNOT GO TO COLLEGE FOR PEDIATRIC NURSING AND YOU JUST BECOME AN RN BUT SHOULD I DO IT IF IM JUST INTERESTED IN PEDIATRICS?
