What does IDE detect mean?

I have just built a new computer using an asus z87-pro motherboard, i have wired everything in and everything seems to be running fine( havent connect

I have just built a new computer using an asus z87-pro motherboard, i have wired everything in and everything seems to be running fine( haven't connected it up to the monitor though) but on the small little LED pannel it says A2 which means IDE detect. Can anyone tell me what this means and how to resolve it?

or:The MB's manual, the A2 \"IDE Detect\" error code means it's having trouble detecting or reading connected drives. This often occurs during initial boot of a new build if multiple drives are hooked up before an OS is installed. It could also mean it could be a faulty sata cable
