What is it a statue of?

I found a strange looking statue on a beach of Victoria Canada and was wondering what it is a statue of. It is a medium grey in color and very worn due to time spent in the sea I would presume. It was obviously molded in some way because there are little hairs that stick out of the stone. It's head has long tendril type things coming off of it and almost represents the alien thing from predator in a way. It's face is rather worn but I can make out two indents as eyes and a creepy small smile. It has four arms and two of them are together in a prayer type of way. The other two rest down by its crossed legs. It has a large exposed belly, much like the happy fat man statues. And it's back has a very prominent spine showing. We suspect that it is just an unique worn buddha or happy fat man statue but it seems different in a way. If anyone has any information on what it is that would be great.
