I stripped the polish off my boots (duty/combat) before polishing them. I used mineral spirits. I am assuming some of the chemical soaked into the interior part of the tongue which is fabric. Is there any way to remove the chemical successfully? It broke me out with a pretty nasty rash the next time I wore the boots. Are they simply ruined? Many sites I visited mentioned using mineral spirits to strip off old polish.
