or:It is not reliable to let people tell you what the bible says. Many people will make up stuff because they don't know what it says, and many will make up stuff because they wish it would not say what it says. You just have to read it for yourself. Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read to find wisdom. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians.

or:There are many scriptures in the Bible that tells us discipline is always beneficial let's look at a few of them :1) Proverbs 1:7 says, \"Only fools despise wisdom and discipline.\" The above scripture shows the ones who accept discipline is wise but the one who despise or rejects it is a fool.2) The Bible admonish kids to accept discipline at Proverbs 1:8, \"Listen, my son, to the discipline of your father, And do not forsake the instruction of your mother.\" Its a loving arrangement from our Heavenly Father, so that children could have the blessings that come with it.3) Proverbs 19:18 says, \"Discipline your son while there is hope, And do not become responsible for his death.\" The fact is if there is a need for discipline and we neglect it later on when the child becomes problematic, it will be to late for discipline, we may even be accountable for their actions.4) Proverbs 23:13-14 tells us, \"Do not hold back discipline from a boy. If you strike him with the rod, he will not die. With the rod you should strike him, In order to save him from the grave.\" Disciplining our kids may be the antidote for saving them from bad consequences.5) Proverbs 13:24 says, \"Whoever holds back his rod hates his son, But the one who loves him disciplines him diligently.\" Love for our kids will motivate us to discipline them. Kids usually don't see the importance of discipline at the moment but they definitely appreciates it later on in life and understands the benefits of being discipline.
