Part of it is like this boy has to use this Triangle thing and when he looks through it he can see little creatures and those creatures are trying to get him. So they make like this barrier around the house so they can't get in. I don't know if this will help but if you have an idea of what it is plz answer.

or:I do not know. I was going to say Hellbound Hellraiser. But it is not a triangle but a box. Creatures do come out of it, though. Then I thought, it reminds me of Quantum Leap because there is something also, a doorway people go through, but that's not triangular either and the character is a man, not a child. Ok I don't know, but good luck. Do you remember what year/timeframe it came out in? 80s? 90s? That might help...and I assume the genre is horror...
