What should I tell my dad and grandma?

Ok so me and my cousin were having some problems. It was nothing big, I don't hate her, but now she absolutely hates me. A few nights ago, she sent me a text telling me to drink bleach and kill myself. I added my best friend to the convo to support me. I sent a picture of me holding bleach close to my mouth and said "Do you really want me to do this? It is so rude you would say this to your own cousin. What is wrong with you?" My mom saw the picture and flipped out. She told my grandma and dad all about it. They are both really mad right now, and I'm actually scared to go visit them in a week. They don't understand I only took that picture to make a point. I don't wanna take my life and I'm not suicidal. And now I can't even hang out with my best friend anymore because she was using "foul language" while trying to defend me, BUT SHE DIDN'T USE ANY BAD LANGUAGE! Help!?

or:This is probably a dumb answer but have you told them the whole story and did they believe you?Also why would she tell you to do that is the first place and adding your friend and sending the pic was a bad idea you should have just not answered the text because that is really rude to tell a family member to do something like that even i fi twas a joke.
