What would happen if I cut the face off a lycra morphsuit for halloween?

Right so im going as the puppet from five nights at freddys and im getting really worried about time. i need to cut around my hairline and just below

Right so im going as the puppet from five nights at freddys and im getting really worried about time. i need to cut around my hairline and just below my chin (to make room for the makeup) but dont know if cutting it would wreck the entire costume?

or:I believe that you could just cut out holes for the eyes and the mouth to breath and get these white premade masks and paint them like the puppet(marionette) and wear it and bam youre done!
