I am looking into buying a new Vacuum cleaner, and it seems really hard to find the specs.
The hardest thing to figure out is the difference between the normal models and the i models.
In particular does anybody know the difference between the Dyson DC40 and the Dyson DC40i?

Is it just the colour? Is one an upgraded version? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

or:I think you find.out more about this at a Retail Store that sells Electronics + DysonVacumcleaners. (Upgraded model maybe.??? )Someone at the store will either know or should be able to look it up for you.

or:All DC40 models are the same - it's just the tools that come with them that are different:DC40 (Multi-floor): Combination Tool, Stair Tool.DC40i (Multi-floor): Combination Tool, Stair Tool, Stubborn Dirt Brush.DC40 Animal: Combination Tool, Stair Tool, Tangle-free Turbine Tool.DC40i Animal: Combination Tool, Stair Tool, Tangle-free Turbine Tool, Stubborn Dirt Brush. The extra tools are available separately if you find you bought too low a model.Dyson also use different plastic colours to make the models look different, but they really don't make them do their job any better or worse!

or:There is only a slight difference between the two. DC40i, an independent version, would probably cost a little bit higher than DC40. Usually electronics with i models mean that they have a slight improvement with their features. Here is a simple difference between the two:DC40 (Multi-floor): Combination Tool, Stair Tool.DC40i (Multi-floor): Combination Tool, Stair Tool, Stubborn Dirt Brush. However, if you are planning to buy a vacuum cleaner, try checking out this cool and smart household cleaning machine. http://allhomerobotics.com/bobsweep-vs-roomba-780-can-bobsweep-compete-roomba/
