What's the overall purpose for surviving and multiplying by any kind of species, including humans?

or:Deer and wolves have been studied specifically to answer that question. When there are not enough wolves to eat the slow deer, the deer get bored and sickly. When there are not enough deer to feed the wolves, the wolves have similar problems. The populations are self regulating.The only species with a known purpose is humans, and that is religious: the bible says we were put on the Earth to take care of it.
