What's the problem? What's causing this?

I have a friend who has a problem. She comes from a family that is broken, her mom lives away and she doesn't know her dad so she lives with her grandma and sister. Her problem is that she says she never feels happy. She says that she just wants to feel some sort of emotion because she said she doesn't feel anything. She told me it was like there's a little part in her that's happiness and joy but it's buried deep inside her with a bunch of things that aren't big but pile up and up until it's unbearable. She doesn't know what the problem is she just wants to feel something and she just wants to be happy instead of having little bursts of happiness. She gets jealous easily and is somewhat controlling but not a lot. Can someone help?

or:this might help idk... i'm like the exact same as her and she will feel sad a lot and she would not know what the problem is either (same with me) she will get jealous a bit too like u said, u just have to try not to talk about anything got to with parents. and try and make her feel happy it is hard.. but if she notices ur trying that might make her happy to see that,.... im not great at answering questions but i hope this helps u
