When is a good time to get an ipad pro?

I got the ipad pro 12.9 from apple store to try and I really love drawing on it. I wanted a digital sketchbook and this really delivers. However I am pretty sure there will be some sort of update next fall but I don't know how major it'll be. Where I live the base model with the pencil costs 1350 with tax. However, people are selling new in box on craigslist for 850 so with the pen thats $1000, a saving of 350 which even apple wont be able to match. So should I return the ipad and buy it on craigslist or should I wait for the new version?
