or:To me people are confusing the meaning of marriage. Marriage is a legal contract between two individuals giving them and potentially their children various rights within their state/country etc. For that reason, marriage won't end. Marriage with the definition of 'an ultimate devotion of love towards another person' may die out.
or:Marriage is now defined as a legal status, and as such will never quite become pearler. marital traditions such as wedding should also continue as it seems to come to one of the greatest event on peoples lives. It's pretty much the same reason people do extreme sport, but with millennia of tradition on their side
