Where can you meet people in London if you just moved there and isn't super outgoing?

I just moved to London and dont know anyone. I would love to meet new people but Im a kind of shy person so it would be difficult for me to just go to

or:See if there are any interesting meetup groups in the area, maybe a cooking class or a language group or maybe some arts and craft or book club? Or just join the local gym or dance/sport studio, you should meet plenty of new people that way. Good luck :-)
