Where did energy reside before the big bang?

If energy can never be created or destroyed (1st law of thermodynamics) then energy is eternal, So if 4 dimensional space emerged at the big bang, how or where did energy reside before this emergence of space and time.

or:That is the beauty about science. We don't know all the answers, so there is still work to be done.There is questions we know the answer of.There is questions we don't know the answer for.There is even questions we don't know yet and also not the answer.

Recently scientists have managed to create what is thought to be similar to what the very first conditions of the big bang were like by colliding super cold cesium atoms.

If we are not able to go back to yesterday, then how can we go back to that period of the Big Bang, if ever there was a Big Bang. The Big Bang is a theory but we must not worry about theories. We must worry about reality. What is the reality? That there is energy all around us, that there is energy within us. Even science has studied that every particle of a human being, every cell called a quark, gets transformed into energy waves. Therefore, you and me are nothing but energy. We must contemplate this, that everything in this universe, all the particles of matter are nothing but energy. This contemplation will lead us to enlightenment, realization of the truth.
