Where does my day go?

...Ok help me out. This is confusing for me-hopefully not for you. I work Monday through Thursday and get paid every 2 weeks on the following Tuesday, so there are 8 days in my pay period. Now they are switching it to end on Wednesday, but still get paid on the following Tuesday. So the next 2 weeks I will work Monday thru the following Wednesday (7 days). Then the following two weeks will go from Thursday to Wednesday (8 days again). Where does that extra day go????
