Why all of my paychecks are not taxed at the same rate? Im from California, USA?

or:An employer can only 'tax' at the state's set percentage rate....NOT more.On your pay stub; look for the hours you worked and the rater (per hour), multiply them, get an answer and then multiply that answer by 8.55%....ifyour employer did NOT get the same answer - then COMPLAIN.
