Why are aged people increasingly being sent to old age home?

or:Well Anil, first of all I'm assuming your from India or Sri Lanka...that's good. A cousin of mine lives in India. India is a 3rd world country which is struggling to be a superpower in the future, but at the moment, a good no. of people are losing their jobs or are not being paid well.. these people immigrate to different parts of the world, mostly UAE and Qatar or England. As a result, with their sons and daughters away, the aged, who now have no means of surviving have to move to old age homes. Another possible reason could be because of family fights.... I know a family, where the mother-in-law and the wife used to fight a whole lot, and finally the son had to put his own mother in an old aged home. I agree that it is cruel to put your parents in an old aged home, but sometimes it may be necessary.......
