Why can't I drive myself to the beach?
I am a 19 year old responsible girl, and by responsible I mean I have never had a sip of alcohol or partied (nor have the desire to) , ALWAYS bide by
I am a 19 year old responsible girl, and by responsible I mean I have never had a sip of alcohol or partied (nor have the desire to) , ALWAYS bide by my parents rules, and have always done the right things. I want to take a solo vacation to visit my best friend, who I grew up in church with, at the beach considering she moved there. I have a reliable car and I have my own job to make my own money, so I am not asking my parents for any financial help. They still refuse to let me drive down to the beach (7 hour drive) by myself, even if my friend who lives down there will be riding back with me. Why can't I drive myself down to the beach even if I have been responsible and trust worthy my whole life? Why won't my parents trust me enough to drive myself on vacation?

or:Their being overly protective they don't want you to get yourself into trouble is your car in your name? Is your car insured? If not this might be the reasons why I would ask why.
