Why can't my six year old identify letters?
My six year old brother will be seven next month and still cant identify letters. He is doing a second year of kindergarten and a month into the schoo
My six year old brother will be seven next month and still can't identify letters. He is doing a second year of kindergarten and a month into the school year he only knows s and X and I think the letters of his name. (He can write his name.) he knows all his letter sounds like if I say Q he goes queen qu qu qu making the q sound but he can only identify letters if there in order. Last year he passed a spelling test with two answers wrong but I don't know if he memorized them? I just don't know. He's so smart. He just can't identify (numbers or letters.) and if he can't take the first steps in learning he can't do all the things i know he can. Please help.

or:I am no doctor, but it could be that your child has dyslexia. There is a lot of information on the internet and one search shows a test. Take a look and see a doctor for additional screening.
