Planning a trip to Pemberton Music Festival in Canada last week; "asked Google" two different times by two different people. Google replied "If one is a US citizen, you do not need a passport to enter Canada. Based on this info, I went ahead and booked flight, room and concert tickets, ALL NONREFUNDABLE, only to find out from a reliable travel agency that a passport is indeed required to enter Canada. This false information from Google could cost me over 2.000 USD if I cannot get my passport in time before departure. Plus having to pay the expedited fees to obtain my passport in a hurry. I am extremely upset with Google's misinformation, and will never depend on it again.

or:Google is a search engine, and is not always right, most results are from people who are dumb. I am from Canada I know for a fact you need a passport to enter and or leave if your are over 16. Now in future cases you should contact the border directly or go onto the border website where it will tell you all important information you need to know. It will tell you if you need a passport or not.Honestly you cannot blame google, your should have used a more credible source. Sorry - but when planning make sure you actually plan properly.

or:This is the answer given by the first site that opened when I typed \"passport requirements for us citizens visiting canada\"Under the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative, as of January 23, 2007, citizens of both Canada and the United States were required to present a valid passport at a U.S. Preclearance Facility -- located at all major Canadian airports -- prior to boarding their flight to the United States. Beginning June 1, 2009, it was established that travelers entering the U.S. through a land or sea border must present a passport or WHTI-compliant document. For more information on the WHTI, click here.It is strongly recommended that all citizens of both Canada and the United States carry passports when crossing the U.S./Canada border. All persons, whether U.S. Citizens or foreign nationals, must present a valid passport or alternate approved travel document to enter or depart from the United States by air. Additional information is available at the following websites: General Travel Information at the U.S. State Department Department of Homeland Security U.S. Customs and Border Protection GetYouHome.govSo, it would be better to type the right keywords
