He is someone who has been in my life since we were teens, but now that he has been in the marines he has changed. We drifted apart because I moved away from the city but now that we have got in touch again he has told me that he loves me, we tried dating but he always told me he was horny and we were in different cities. He always been sweet with me, but now he is telling me that he has always loved me and that he wanted a relationship with me then out of the blue he tells me he isn't coming back to our hometown and he doesn't want to see me, and he will tell me about the girls he would like to sleep with and wants my help in dating them. But he says he won't see me because he loves me but wants me with someone better for me. Why does he do this?

or:he might be having issues with himself as to why he feels that way sometimes he isn't thinking straight i wouldn't think that he really knows what he really is trying to tell you cause why would you say you love somebody and then say you don't want to see this person he sounds lost is what i'm getting how long has he been in the service?
